1. Chandrakhani Pass Trek

The Chandrakhani Pass trek is one of the best short treks you can go to explore the grandeur of Himachal Pradesh while also getting a flavour of the local culture. The route passes through the picturesque Kullu valley, a visual delight, and the ride lasts only three days. The Chandrakani Pass, located at an elevation of 3,660 metres in the Kullu valley, offers a superb view of the Deo Tibba and Pir Panjal peaks and the Parbati mountain range.

5. Har Ki Dun Trek

Another wildlife-friendly trip in Uttarakhand, Har ki Dun Valley offers spectacular views of Swargarohini, Har ki Dun,  Bandarpunch, and Black Peaks. The hike passes through the Garhwal Himalayas and the Govind National Park. As you progress, you will pass through lush pine forests, glacial basins, and moraine ridges. Bird enthusiasts will see the Monal, Himalayan gryphons, and golden eagles. Har ki Dun is one of the more challenging alternatives on this list, but it is well worth the effort. The walk is about 24 kilometres long and lasts seven days, with the optimum months being July and September.
