There is no home like you”

Gone are the self-deprecative days of pushing oneself in the corner of one’s mind. It is wonderful how people have started to accept their flaws, likes and dislikes. While the concept of makeup was considered only a fetish for women, men and other genders have realised that makeup is just like painting a beautiful canvas; only this time, it is a face. Skincare is another necessity now widely accepted as usual and not enclosed to a single gender.

Nowadays, 8/10 people follow basic skincare routines or have makeup essentials. This has led to the booming growth of the cosmetic industry since the last decade. The cosmetic industry has swooshed over the world in the number of brands and products, promoting themselves over social media especially.

Purplle VS Nykaa

Founded in 2012 and 2011, respectively, are two raging online beauty stores- Purplle and Nykaa. It is a guarantee that there will be no millennial or Gen Z who does not know the names of these two brands. Started out as small start-ups, today Purplle stands a net worth of $500 million, and Nykaa at nearly $7.5 billion. Today, both offer the best products at best deals and the demands of their large following.

Purplle and Nykaa can always be compared to skincare brands such as MamaEarth, Biotique, Lakme, etc., but their online presence is at par with the other brands, or even more. Purplle and Nykaa exist, fulfilling the space in each other’s stores. You may get some company products on Purplle, not on Nykaa, and vice versa. They even have their own line of original products, but because of Nykaa’s current global fame, it offers more skincare and makeup products than Purplle. From international to domestic brands, both provide excellent quality products.

Nykaa today has a clothing line within itself as well. This diversity in their product list allows Nykaa to gain more revenue than Purplle.

Nykaa is a bit more socially famed than Purplle, which is why it has a greater fan following on its account. Although Purplle is almost equally famed, people are initially inclined on buying from Nykaa. Even in website traffic and annual revenue, Purplle lags behind only by a bit. The continuous deals and discounts offered by Nykaa on a regular basis is another reason why people find it a better option to shop from.

What is similar in both is the authenticity of products. Purplle and Nykaa claim to offer the best skincare and makeup recommendations to their customers, and this is true! They buy the stuff directly from the manufacturers and distributors, ensuring that you do not receive duplicate or low-standard copies of products.
When it comes to financial transactions, they offer a variety of payment methods such as net banking, credit and debit cards, e-wallets, and, most importantly, cash on delivery (COD).

Overall, although these two companies are different in their own ways, they are brands you can trust and rely on. The rest depends on your choice of products and offers you wish to avail.
